Job Summary
The Sales Engineer position sells Kurts workholding line of products that will include standard product sales as well as customer opportunities that fit our capabilities.

Essential Functions

• Conducts sales calls to direct end-users or industrial distributors to sell and support workholding product lines and services.
• Reviews customer requirements and helps determine product solutions.
• Supports or develops product cost estimates that are then presented to customers.
• Provides technical services and training to customers as required / requested relating to use, operation and maintenance.
• Supports and helps management evaluate other sales channels such as company sales representatives or sales opportunities.
• Supports applicable tradeshows.
• Develops sales or service contracts for products or services.
• Helps guide new product development and marketing efforts based on feedback from customers, distributors or marketplace information.
• Helps develop annual sales and marketing budgets.
• Travels up to 30% of the time to potential sales opportunities including direct customers, distributor locations, tradeshows or other activities.

Required

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering preferred
• At least 3 years of industrial-related sales experience
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
• Focused on understanding, meeting, and exceeding customer expectations
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time
